    This course is designed for students interested in a healthcare career directly out of high school or after
    technical school or college. The Health Occupations program provides a combination of subject matter
    and hands-on experiences. Students are prepared for entry level employment or post-secondary
    education. Students will learn about personal qualities of healthcare workers, infection control, safety,
    basic health care skills, medical math, vital signs, first aid, medical terminology, medical abbreviations.
    Students will explore many health care careers, facilities, cultural diversity, ethical and legal issues.
    Interested students may obtain CPR certification and be eligible to take the National Nurse Aide
    Assessment Program Examination.
